The stag do that doesn’t end in regret
Most stag dos follow the same script. Someone books an activity nobody’s that excited about, everyone drinks too much too early, and by 9pm half the group has gone quiet and the other half can’t remember where they’re going next. The photos are blurry, the hangover lasts two days, and the groom says it was great because he has to.
What if the stag do had a bit in it that actually made everyone feel good?
Why a sauna and cold plunge works for a stag do
Because getting into 3°C water with your mates is one of the funniest, most bonding things you can do. Nobody is cool about it. Nobody plays it down. Everyone shouts, everyone laughs, and for about ninety seconds every single person in the group is having the exact same experience at the exact same time. That doesn’t happen at a bar.
Stag dos have the same problem as hen dos. You’ve got the school mates, the uni mates, the work lot, the brother, the random cousin. Half of them have never met and the other half haven’t seen each other in years. Cold water skips past all of that. You go from awkward small talk to genuine connection faster than any icebreaker anyone’s ever invented. Literally.
What the experience looks like
You get the space for your group. Up to six people per session, so the whole place feels private and yours, not like a leisure centre on a Saturday afternoon. Two saunas, a traditional Finnish one running properly hot and an infrared for anyone who wants something gentler, and six 3D printed cold plunges in pairs at 3°C, 6°C and 12°C.
Everyone starts at whatever temperature they fancy. The competitive ones go straight to 3°C and immediately regret it for about forty seconds before feeling like they’ve conquered something. The sensible ones start at 12°C and work down. Both routes end up in the same place: buzzing, laughing, and weirdly energised.
Between rounds you sit in the social space, grab something from the café lounge, and talk properly. No music drowning you out, no distractions. Just your mates, catching up, taking the piss, actually present. That ends up being the best bit and nobody sees it coming.
It’s a fraction of a spa day (but better)
Nobody’s calling this a spa day, and that’s the point. But the quality is up there: 3D printed plunges with continuously filtered water, two saunas, a maximum of six people at a time, and a space that’s designed to feel premium rather than municipal. All of it at a fraction of what you’d pay for a group spa experience, which means more budget left for whatever comes next.
It fits into the bigger day
A session is 30 minutes, so it slots into the plan rather than replacing it. Start the stag do with us, get everyone buzzing and bonded, then head out into Shoreditch for the rest of it. We’re two minutes from Old Street, so you’re right in the middle of everything: restaurants, pubs, rooftops, late night spots, whatever the plan is.
Or come to us after a long lunch when the group’s flagging and needs a reset before the evening. Either way it works.
First timers, no problem
There’s always someone in a stag group who’s never done a cold plunge and thinks the whole thing sounds terrible. That person usually ends up enjoying it the most. We’ll walk everyone through it, the staff are there throughout, and nobody has to do anything they don’t want to. Although peer pressure from your mates is not something we can control.
